A Manifesto from long ago.

Hi. My name is Norberto Rodriguez.

WHAT
A few years ago, I ended a really unbelievable + promising career unsure of who I was + where I fit into the world. So I kept myself alive as best I could + worked on the inside to see what I could find. I was trying to see the bigger picture. I wanted to understand what everything looked like from everywhere all at once. Because if I could do that, I would understand how every little thing fit into it.

I had an idea. The easiest way to describe it is I want to commit the rest of my life to figuring out how to make the greatest artwork of all time. Of course, it’s a little more complex + fancy than that but, it’s a really big idea + I’m not totally sure I actually know what it looks like but, I can see a very strong case for it developing.

The things I’ve done + ideas I’ve had recently seem to suggest it might actually be possible so, I’m gonna give it a shot. I mean, If I knew what I was doing, I wouldn’t be telling you, I’d be selling that shit to Elon Musk + getting the fuck out of here in my new Tesla space ship with the sweetest girl, the cutest puppies + enough magnolia cupcakes + coconut oil to last me an entire life on planet hell yes. Just like the mormon guy said.

The simplest reason for this is I’m an artist + it’s what I do. I’m like an apple tree. I make apples. You would never ask an apple tree to make mangos. Again, the answer is slightly more complex than that + it’s gonna take more than a minute to…
