Nature is the chef. I’m just a server.

I think I’m exploring the idea that we are reaching a point in our evolution where art can be expressed more purely + more effectively without our traditional dependency on “creating” a material artifact to represent it. Because of the path technology + communication have + seem to be evolving towards, art can now exists as pure “data” that can be experienced in real time using pre-existing artifacts / actions that can be documented + shared instantly with anyone willing to invest the time + place their trust in the artist. Art actually exists in everything + is simply the product of shifting your perspective to accommodate / unpack the additional layers of meaning that art provides.

That said, I have no idea what I’m actually doing (any artist who says they do is a lying asshat + shouldn’t be trusted) but, I believe that art developed as a technology (a tool) by nature to serve as a catalyst for the evolution of consciousness in order to understand itself more completely. Basically what I do is in service of that. Nature is the chef + I’m just the waiter.
