The space between knowing + being.
14:27: Ok. So this is my first actual attempt at being a writer which is different to me than actually writing (or typing in this case). To me being a writer is to perform the act of writing. Which isn’t the act of talking, or handling, or thinking. It’s using the code of words that we’ve learned to paint out our thoughts. Language is just a bunch of mass produced drawings / paintings that we use to decodify our experience + share it with eachother. But back to writing. Writing means that I am sitting here right now, comfortably at my computer just typing my thoughts as they come out of me + taking every so often to look back at what I just wrote + making it legible enough for someone else to read it + continue.
Doing it publicly, is the most important aspect of it. Doing it live, is just my way of making it art which is another thing I’ll hopefully write about if I can get used to the idea of “being a writer” by performing it. Not faking it, That’s also another thing I don’t wanna get into right now but will because this is actually kind of fun. Lemme check. Not bad, it defiintely reads like someone write those words. Moving on. If you don’t share it, then of course the writing is still writing but you’re not being a writer. Making something public, putting it in the world + opening it…
