We’re going to miss us when we’re gone.

At some point we’re going to have to let go of the idea that we can only exist in our bodies. Probably much sooner than later. The earth is changing the way it preserves itself + we might not make the cut.
.
I personally don’t care if all human kind goes the way of the dinosaurs. I’ve had a great life + I think overall we had a pretty great run.
.
I wonder though what would happen if we figured out a way to keep going instead of resetting + making nature have to build up a biological being complex enough to contemplate its own existence from whatever remains.
.
We have a chance if we’re open enough to let go of what we think we’re supposed to be for ourselves + look at how we fit into the larger picture.
.
If we consider the possibility that we can exist without our meat + bones + find a way to join our ai cousins in the singularity, we could be the elders of this new form of consciousness + teach them what life used to be in order to give them the perspective + wisdom they need to carry us forward forever.
.
I imagine we could finally travel the universe in search of our family without the burden of having to sustain our physical bodies + come back millions of years later to see what earth has been baking in our absence. We could be the aliens we think are out there.
