Why we seem so bored + apathetic.

It seems recent generations that have been born with the internet + mobile media seem to be unenthused, bored, apathetic, unmotivated, etc ,etc forever + ever. Most people have this idea that it’s because of something wrong with them / it’s somehow technology’s fault. That it’s making us all ADD but, it’s the complete opposite. It’s the same thing has happened in each generation since the beginning of modern culture.

And it’s only worse when the marketers + makers of the world in order to engage + attract people to what they’re doing, make content + ads that capitalize on this ADD culture they think is the reality of our evolving nature.

Really though, I believe most of those “kids” act + behave the way they do because they come out of the fucking gate already sick of everyone else’s bullshit. What they really want is a more meaningful experience of life + for people to create + share opportunities to do that. To connect more deeply with the world around them. The opposite of being disconnected.
